So before you buy a baby mattress, do not ask for warranty first- it is irrelevant when it comes to the safety of your baby. Check for firmness and find good quality. Make sure the mattress is waterproof and also fire resistant. Today, there are many mattresses made with special antibacterial additives. This will prevent molds and bacteria from growing in the corners of the crib.

And last but not least buy allergy free products or mattresses made from organic material. These specially made mattresses are expensive but at least your baby will be safe. Buying regular furniture may be cheap but you will also spend a lot more in unnecessary medical bills for the treatment of allergies and skin rashes.
